I’ve been here in Portsmouth for 3 weeks now and havn’t posted anything about my time here….
But I made some notes for every day and I will type everything out.
Maybe.
Just wait. Day 1 ist already halfway done!

My flight is booked (or as I wanted to write, my book is flight). The 4th of September it is now. Yay!!! Two of my comrades are joining me on this journey, the fourth one will fly in a day later.
And I also officially rented the place!
Still no answer from the university though. This sucks.
And I will be staying with three of my fellow students from my home university.
And I’ll book my flight later this evening. This is all getting so exciting. Time flies by so fast…
And I maybe also have a place to stay while I am in Portsmouth.

I finally finished the last few things I had fill out for this whole abroad/Erasmus thing and now the waiting game begins. (Still no answer from the university)
I fucking finally (excuse my language, but I needed about 3 months to fill that shit out) send away my “Auslands-Bafög” papers. It’s a…
And I’m waiting and waiting and wating and waiting for something to happen.
I finally choose my courses and got them approved by my home university. All I need now is the final answer from Portsmouth. And I am still waiting for that one.
I know there are about 5-7 student going to Portsmouth. As of now, I know about 4, including me.
Luckily I kinda know all of them, alhough we are not friends. Classmates maybe.
But I already got into contact with one of them because of the rooming situation in Portsmouth and how she is managing things and stuff. Maybe we can do this stuff together. This makes things easier.

I officially accepted the “scholarship” today and am now writing the “unofficial application” for the university itself. Seriously, why do I have to do it again, when I already have the place?
Anyways, I’m in the middle of putting together the courses for the autumn semester. This will be so much fun. The courses are exactly what I wanted to do and they fit perfectly with my course of studies.

Yay for the University of Portsmouth.
Well at least in my mind! I got the email of my Erasmus-Coordinator that I was nominated and accepted for the program. I feel so happy.

Now it’s time to wait and see how it goes!
